Default Spoiler

Hey guys, I have a 77 and well I'm pretty bored with the back. I want to add some type of flare. Don't worry though I'm not looking to become a ricer and but some outlandish wing on it. I'm looking for something simple like this...

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thum...muscle-car.jpg

My concerns are that it will be too wide or to large therefore making it look foolish or restricting my view.

So... what do you guys think?

Thats what i'll probably do, just buy the 1978-1982 bumper that has the lip on it already. I was just wondering about the other spoilers just to get other's opinions.

You're maybe right, but the pace car rear spoiler will look nice, IMHO.

Just my opinion, but I think the mid 70s cars that really stand out now are the stock rear cars. They really have great lines the way they were originally designed. It seems that everyone is changing them.

I'm sure it would look great either way though.

The '78 PC front dam & rear spoiler (I wouldn't do just one end) aero package is an OEM Corvette design that actually happens to work, tho I'd suggest you brace the "splitter" if you go with the soft original type and do much high-speed driving. Really helps the look of rubber bumper C3's IMHO.

Whatever floats your boat. It's your car and your spoiler/wing.

How about a luggage rack? 77s were the only year luggage racks came from the factory right?

The 78 Pace Car spoiler would work, but maybe you can find something else that might look good as well.

The 80-82 has the built in lip (spoiler). That was a common modification, but it does end up with that "wrong" look to it.

Pace car spoilers from 78-79 are actually made for your design tail and at least look pretty correct in place.

I like the stock look of course. Anything completely beyond the 2 choices above are usually hideous.
