In September 2009, Rose and I visited George Barris at his office in LA and saw the Farrah car in his showroom. It was painted a gold colour and was in excellent condition. Unless George 's memory is faulty, the one for sale is merely a copy of the original.
Also, please don't knock the work of Barris. He is a living legend and built fantastic cars to suit the movies or individuals. If you don't like a particular car he built, it's only because your tastes are different from those of the customer. The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things.
George is well into his eighties and won't be around forever. When he goes, who is left to wear his crown? Chip Foose? We also went to Chip's place and he gave us a tour over his premises. His work is in a different league to George's. Not better, not worse. Just different. And Viva la difference!!!

That unit is not one of them.
As AussieJohn points out, the doubts that Barris ever created this CO registered car may be on par with Farrah ever standing next to it.
Makes my allergies act up just looking inside...
