79 front bumper install
I pulled the front bumper today to get the car ready to be painted, real pain in the rear. Everything was very rusted. Does any one have any hints on how to get the bumper cover back on, with the retaining brackets on and up over the lip of the big rubber bumper? It was a pain to get off and when I put it back on, it will have fresh paint and I won't want to mess it up.
I know how it goes on but knowing how and doing it are sometimes two different things. any advice?

I had the front bumper off of my 79 when I had it painted. The only thing I can tell you it's a slow tedious process. I don't think there are any tricks that make it easier. Just use care and be patient. You know what they say, "Smooth seas don't make skilled sailors."
