All you guys probably know this however this was new for me. While adjusting the timing I turned the distributor too far where the car would not start.
With the T-Top off you can crank the engine with one hand, lean over the windshield and manually turn the distributor with the other hand.
A one man operation, could not do that with an old Camero!

Just be careful grabbing the distributor by the cap. A bad/improperly seated boot or a cracked cap and you will get a ****load of voltage shooting up your arm that will cause your fingers to clamp down even tighter, and you won't be able to let go until the convulsions in your body get large enough to knock you off of it.

kinda sounds like you might have some experence with this shocking issue
1968 Vettes had the key ignition on the dash. In 1969 they moved the key to the steering wheel stalk.
I think that is one of the many unique characteristics of the 1968 he was referring to.

Correct, but it also had to do with the OP's technique. I wouldn't be able to pull it off because I would have to reach further...on top of being a short guy, lol.
