I cant seem to get ahead on my cars. I have too many open projects, and they just keep getting bigger.
I am working on my 72 getting the brakes done, and what started off as a simple brake bleeding exercise has morphed into a brake caliper and front end cleaning project.
Then my carb from SMI- Sean Murphy Induction arrived to put on my 73 BB, and I still have the carpet and heat barrier in the box waiting to be installed.
Other unfinished projects are new seat covers and foam, a clock rebuild project, leaking power steering rebuild and kit and a HEI restoration.
It seems like more work is creating more work. I cant seem to fix only the one thing that needs to be fixed. The items around that one item need fixing also.
The original plan was to buff out the paint, maybe get a fender fixed and a couple other little things, Lose the luggage rack, get new wheels and tires, fresh seat covers and carpet...detail the engine compartment...
I feel the frustration. I just picked up number 11 and haven't gotten number 1 finsihed at this point.
I'm at the point I'm going to have to get rid of some of them just for the room. Everything turns into buying a new tool or developing a new skill.
I have stock piled all sorts of parts for all of them to get ready to restore them. They just sit there.
Maybe the collection of all the stuff is the hobby, and not the finished vehicle.
