steel floors
Just wondering.. what was the reasoning for putting in steel floors after 74? Anybody know.... Thanks .

Yeah, I'l like to know too. Doesn't seem like 6 years of C3 production would be enough to see glass delamination....maybe they were jus getting whacked from rocks, curbs and such....

Nope. Catalytic Converters. Imagine what happens to fiberglass in close proximity to one of those.

I know stupid ? Get stupid answers. Lol that is a good point about the catalytic converters. Did think of that . Maybe because I got a 74 with side pipes . Lol. Thanks .......

They also included a heat shield for the Catalytic converters to keep as much heat out of the car as possible...
BTW...When I purchased my 76 I was shocked to discover a metal floor...my previous 3 Corvettes sure did not have one...
