Default Paint Question

i have an 81 which is of course all plastics and fiberglass. can i strip the paint off the entire car and let it sit for awhile?? i want to strip the paint because it will save me alot of money the body shop told me if i roll it in there and they do not have to strip the paint but will the rain or sun hurt it??? also will it be ok in primer till next spring when i can afford the color coats??? thanks

Bare fiberglass is like a sponge for contaminants that touch it. If you won't be able to afford the entire job until later, leave the car as is until you can do it all from start to finish. Save up and "get-r-done".
