Come on, go for a short ride with me in mine on route 5 from Chester towards Williamsburg on a twisty, two lane, forested and rural road that runs along the N. side of the James River along the colonial plantations...it is a fun road where most is 45 mph limits on the curves and 55 mph overall with an occasional curve at 35 mph. Shhhhhsh? don't tell anyone but I'm doing this at 60-80 mph in the small block 76 with two new side yoke rear differential axles.
91 degrees here today. Third day in a row for a new record high... I'm not driving yet but I did get the t-tops, hood, gas door, both bumpers and the headlight assys in primer yesterday. Progress is beautiful, and so is the scenery in your hometown! Thanks for sharing, and keep the greasy side down at VIR. Mark

Good, you're making progress. Track date is now 5/5 for me with the side yoke axle replacements when one broke a week ago.
I'll try and keep the grease side down and the red side up! When we did the repairs to the rear end we took time and cleaned up half shafts, differential case, spring and all are now painted a nice semi gloss black while we had 'em off...or the shop did!
Got it out this weekend and drove it to work today Wednesday4/13/2011 .no problems but my t-tops need the rubber cleaned cause they are making some noise while driving.
