Thought I'd mention that my '76 is my daily driver (Been so for almost 5 years now) and a C3 can be a good one if everything is in good shape. The engine hasn't been rebuilt on mine and only God knows how many miles are on it since the odometer doesn't work.. But I had the transmission rebuilt and new springs and bushings put on and she drives great. I drive it between 100 and 150 miles a day during the weekdays, more on weekends.

P.S. My dad has an '84 Z51.. I like the '76 better, although I like how much stiffer the '84 is even though I have 550lb/420lb springs on mine.
