Default 73 front center grill
did the 73 front center grill piece have chrome edging or was it all black ?

I agree that as noted above, 73 chrome edge, and 74 was all black,

i think i found that the one i have was painted. were the front side grills chrome edged on 73 too?

During the last month of production (July '73) either the chrome front edge type or all black was installed in production. Mine was built July 5th and had black grills.

All three grills should be the same type.

All three grilles for early 73 were all chrome edged.

Mine was built July 19th and it had the chrome edge.
