Damn. Good bye all
In case you don't know me, I appeared on this forum last sept. On a whim, I bought my 76 and drove the hell out of it for 4000 miles last fall / this spring. Because of impractical garage facilities (10 min drive to take the vette out), I advertised it a few weeks back

Not many inquiries at first but the second person that saw it bought it. Judging by the quantity of calls since then (now that it's actually getting nice out), I'm getting the feeling I should have asked for more (I paid $8500, it sold for $12k).
Oh well, at least I made a few bucks, had a lot of fun and made some new friends out here.
It's worth mentioning that thanks to all of your comments & observations (factory rotor rivets still intact, original 1970s catalytic converter etc...), I was able to show pictures in the ad itself that demonstrated the car was original / low mileage so a big thanks to all of you.
Now, I'm back to driving my accord

cheers - Andre in Montreal

...or I wish it was that easy.....with my last car collection/obsession(about any Karmann built VWs ...convertible bugs, Ghias, 914, etc.) I limited myself to only owning seven at once(one for every day of the week) so if another one 'followed me home' I would have to let one go
...but there will be more Vettes out there for you ... now you can buy a better one for $12K and sell it for $16K+, then get one for $16K and sell it for $20K+ etc. etc....you will have one of the ZL1 cars in no time at all
Accord /Vette--Accord /Vette-- Accord /Vette EASY choice. I've never seen a collector Accord or a numbers matching original!!!!!

We are all car crazy around here and as long as their is a need there will be a supply!

I drive 10 mins to my mom's house where I store my 82 & I don't find it impractical at all when I want to switch between cars.
I live in a condo & that's why I store my 2nd car at my moms.
Bummer on the sell, now go get another one!
Still a Buyers market I think!
Good luck, half the fun is looking anyway!

Sorry to hear about your loss. We will miss you too..
Jim
You have done things somewhat bass-ackwards: buy in the autumn and sell in the spring, especially in Canada. You must have sold that car in the middle of a snow storm given the temps and weather in recent weeks. I've driven once in 2011.
But all things must pass. You got a good price. There should be no regrets....until it's 75*F and sunny. Just kidding
