79 Vet differential

79 Vet differential
can anyone tell me what the WA designation stamp on the rear end signifys, i'm hoping it means 3:08.... screwed up, it is stamped AW and it's from a '75 Vet so can someone identify it?

The chart I have only has AW not WA and it states a 3.08 gear

What does the complete stamping say? AW or WA were not valid codes for '79, only OM, OH, or OJ. 3.08 was not available in '79.

Mike i haven't seen the piece yet as i just saw the advert for it and it is London Ont 60 miles away, i'll try to get more on it, i'm looking for a 3:08 for my '65 P/G car as the 3:70's make for high RPMs at Hwy speeds...

it's about the RPM's for me, like to get them down, right now at 70 mph it revs at 4200 want to drop it some, i do a lot of Hwy cruising
