Maybe if you like....but I posted this on the C3 general because that is the market the Chinese have focused on. C1/C2 owners tend to want to either keep the car all original or top of the line replacements. C4/C6 radiators are much more complicated and require extreme accuracy to mount the condenser and fans. Something they can't or don't want to do. That leaves the C3 group as the main focus

Tom...Thanks for getting back with me. Looking forward to getting the radiator installed and driving down to the local Corvette shop to finish up my rear suspension/differential work.

Yes, there is "anti-dumping" legislation in place. But it takes action from US companies to get enforcement and relief.

The same exact same thing Tom described was happening a few years ago with Nails and Staples. A combined law suit was filed by several US Nail & Staple Mfgs., and after millions were spent in legal expenses, the courts ruled in favor of the US companies.
This resulted in a "Tarrif" (for lack of a better word) levied on most Nail and Staple containers arriving in the US. The amount of money that had to be paid ranged from Appx. 1.5% on countries that were considered "small offenders" to 119% on the ones that were doing this on a "Grand Scale".
This forced several Mfgs. that were importing large ammounts of products to re-consider where they were making their product. Some even re-opened US plants they had closed. Plus, the countries that were doing this quickly stopped.

This leveled the playing field, so to speak, but it took legal action, and a lot of Cash from US companies to get it enforced. The government will not act on it's own to stop this kind of unfair trade practice.

Fairness prevailed, but the end result was unfortunately higher prices on both imported, and domestic product.

In short...(to late for that lol)...This kind of thing IS happening. And don't expect the government to do anything about it unless the courts are involved.

That's why I asked 3 pages ago if there was any actual evidence of this, and of course I never got an answer.

I am going to chime in here with a little hard earned knowledge. I bought a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox new fully loaded, AWD, etc. I had so many issues with that car I can not even list them all. One things for sure the wheel bearings started failing at 30k miles and I was told this was a wear and tear item. I asked the guy why my 1995 Ford F350 still had the original bearings at 189k with no issues. He went on to explain to me in great depth how Chevrolet had switched suppliers to China in certain years and models of cars and how they had a lot of problems. I have plenty of experience with things bought from China and everytime the quality is poor. Now I am just talking about China products, not stuff from Japan and other areas on that side of the world.
