The 74 Corvette exhaust system is a direct bolt on to your 76. Many owners of 75-79 Corvettes have made this swap.
Step up to the 2.5" system and if you are in one of those states that actually check for catalytic converters you can always get a good free flow small aftermarket one or 2 if you need it on both pipes.
the 1976 exhaust system on the corvette stingray has a single pipe system branching out to two tail pipes, correct?
has anyone put another c3 dual pipe system on their 76?
is it possible?
id like to keep it oem with chevy parts.
Thanks.
As noted doing this is easy and cheap ... BUT if you are altering the entire exhaust system (the car) car why are you trying to use ONLY OEM CHEVY PARTS .. Plus I know this old boy could not tell a OEM Factory installed exhaust pipe form a Pep boys exhaust pipe
My own 76 is running true duals..no cats...and just Corsa Resonators n the back...no "real"mufflers at all.. same set up as on my 79 ...my 72 was true duals from the factory but everything under the car is Flowmaster
Oops, I meant Corvette Central in my earlier post. I believe the differnece in the auto and stick kits are the center exhaust hanger. Order the auto now and the Kiesler kit should include a new hanger if it's necessary.

You would do better to just visit a local muffler shop and just have a custom dual exhaust system installed. Muffler shop labor is much cheaper than mechanical shops charge, and you may be surprised at how little it may cost.
Corvette Central sells complete kits for 1974s, but there are different part numbers for automatic/manual transmissions.
If my car is a automatic but plan to convert to manual via Keisler or something I assume I would still order a kit for the automatic?
BTW - My car is a 78
Had a 74 system on my 79 4 speed.
Removed it to go back to stock.
Installed it on a friends 78 automatic. One pipe(can't remember which side) came very close to the trans pan, had to dimple it slightly.
Later learned that the difference between the auto and 4 speed exhaust is in the bend of the front pipes.
Seems an auto system should fit a 4 speed Vette without a problem but no guarantees!
And there's really no factory front hanger for a 350 turbo equipted Vette. Earlier 400 turbo hangers won't work. 4 speed hanger won't work either.
