Rain Stopped Today...
So time to turn the key on the old 1974. She responded with enthusiasm and even the divorced choke seemed happy. Settled down to a nice 700rpm idle in Park and 550rpm in Drive. Dropped by the local gas station for some 89 octane and then hit the road (OK the city boulevards). Soon the ambient temp was 80*F with a beautiful whitish globe in the sky that I believe is called the sun.
I was out for ~90 minutes and the car purred. Engine temps varied between 180 with movement and crept close to 200 at idle/red light. Excellent. The A/C still does not work despite my recent efforts but that is OK with the top down. All-in-all it was great to get out and enjoy the Corvette experience.
Some unexciting pics from a local park.

This pic shows the daytime running lights (DRLs) I installed and wrote about in April. They are working fine.
