Hi All , I bought a 71 LT1 in March and have been working on it steady ever since .
Rebuilt the engine, new bearings , rings, cam, lifters , water pump, valves, springs , vac advance and re-curved the dizzy, ect, ect . Tore down the origonal M 22 and put in a new counter shaft , seals and gaskets . All new u-joints, New rear bearings and seals , shocks . Changed the rear from a 411 to a 3.36 ( found a good used 336 )
Car ran good for the first time out . Now just all the detailing .
Bill, sound like you have been real busy. How about some pics of the finished product.
Well , I can rebuild the motor , tranny ect but putting pictures on here is beyond my computer skills . I will try to get my wife to help post some pictures soon.
My LT1 has has a 355 gear. Back in the day I had one that had a 370 gear and that car was a lot quicker than the one have now. Your new gear should be better on gas millage. Have fun with your new car they are a blast to drive.
