Cargo area carpet pad
I just pulled the carpet out of my 82 and the padding in the centre of the cargo area is pretty well shot especially where it goes up the back between the rear speakers. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells just that piece? The fender well pieces are in perfect shape so I don't need the full set. Thanks for any and all leads.

I'm not getting the whole story. Why pull the carpet out if you are not going to replace it? Why use the original wheel house carpet if replacement was the goal to begin with?
You can use any type of insulation on the rear wall under the carpet. At that location, it's essentially sound deadener.
