79 Stinger Hood
Bought a stinger hood for my 79 about a year ago and finally took it too the body shop too get painted and installed. Got a call from the shop saying the hood is a 1.5 too long up front. Anyone know does the early 70's vet hoods longer or shorter then the 79. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

The 68-72 had a short hood, the later years had a longer hood that eliminated the wiper door and grill. the 68-72 was basically a straight edge at the rear and did not follow the windshield curve like the later years.
Your post says it's long in the front? the front should be the same on all years but the back edge of the hood is where you might find differences. Do you still have the information from when you ordered it? they will say what years they fit, it looks like 77-81 is the same.
