Realigning the doors is not rocket science. The hinges move forward or rearward and inward and out. Move the door back or forward within the opening and centre the gaps and up or down to align the body line. Move it in or out to flush it at the front edge. The striker is about the most simplistic adjustment you'll make. Once the door is hung properly set the striker to be in the centre of the latch so it neither lifts nor lower the door when it closes. Adjust it inward or outward to flush out the rear edge of the door with the quarter. Do all this before you install the weatherstripping.
I agree on removing the striker and I would have removed the window garnish molding as well. The devil is in the details. You can always tell a repaint from those little things.
But if the op is happy with it, that's all that really counts isn't it. That's also why it's so difficult a question to answer when someone asks "how much should it cost to paint my Corvette?".

Default It's done!

Sorta.
I still need to put on the emblems, drill out the rivets on all 4 of my original 30 yr. old discs & put the new ones on.

I also need to get the replacement carpet, door panels & seats & lastly, figure out how I'm gonna get my T-roofs on since the new weather strip is keeping me from pushing down on the glass, & I don't want to exert too much pressure & have 2 panels shatter on me.
I know there are threads, but it really does seem like a pain & they do sit kinda high compared the the B pillar.
I hope they compress a bit & end up being flush.

Now also comes the task of getting all the wet sanded clear, now dried white, out of all the cracks.

Other than that, is was a good day to take it out, 79 & sunny, & also not being able to drive it for 6 weeks.

And for comparison, here's 2 shots, one of the original color & the new color.

The only way your going to get thr t-top ws to settle in is to mount them and keep them on for awhile. you will have to move the adjustments out to fit them at first but it must be done.after a week you should be able to re-adjust them to bring them back into their previous hieght.it's a good idea to buy a quality silicone ws spray . spray them and the stainless trim and then slide them into place. then latch them down
i went through the same thing and I replaced ALL my ws with CRC ws
