If you drive the car get radials. If you show the car for points get bias ply.
What brand tire is very subjective...we all have our preferences. Look more for the traction and tread wear ratings and compare them, then see which gets you the most cost effective price. Dealers make a difference as well...some are simply better to work with.
If you want to start a flame war, just ask for opinions about the best tires, motor oil and waxes. Any of those three is a real can of worms to open.
