Help with a hose
Smog Pump Hose 81 'vette
I went to the parts department of our largest Chevrolet dealer today and showed him this picture of this hose that is broken and brittle, he spends a few minutes on the computer and goes "they don't have removed the pictures from back then. I have no idea what it is, you will have to ask someone"

ok so can someone tell me what this part # would be or what its called or where i can order if from?
looks to be part of the smog system, a hose the goes into the front of the air cleaner.

Thanks, I found the part, it has been discontinued item I was told. I did a search and seen others needed the same part. I did find it and posted a new thread for those that need one and where to get it.

I think that hose is an '81 only part. Mine was also broken when I got my car. I found a rubber heater hose with a 90* elbow and just used that with a breather filter on the inside of the air cleaner to connect it on that end.
Its just a fresh air intake for the AIR pump. not really needed at all unless you're planning on driving through some deep water.
