Default 81 seats

Dumb question, I just need the bottom part of the drivers seat, would you buy just that or do you have to buy the upper and lower? or do you have to buy both seats (drivers and passenger) from all these places?

I have looked at ecklers only but have heard a lot of talk to stay away from them if they are on back order.

who else should I look at? also on ecklers I noticed the seats would say (With 2" Bolster, or With 4" Bolster) what does this mean?

dumb questions and a lot of em.

What are you buying? Seat foam? Upholstery? Seat cushions and backs are interchangable. You can swap left and rights.

Most of the split back seats are 4" bolster.

All the major aftermarket providers carry seat foam and upholstery. Surf the sites and compare prices.

thanks for the fast response, and thx for the pic now I know what that means that will help.

I have a few holes in my 81 drivers seat from past owners wallet chain and clip. so I just need the upholstery. I didn't know if I should just do the one part or upper and lower or both full seats (encase there were some fading) I guess it would be easier to get the ones already wrapped in foam and ready to go huh?

Amen to that. Let the vendor install new upholstery on new foam. You pay for their expertise. IMHO worth the cost.

We can sell you a single piece of cover. You'll have to call sales on Monday at 800-588-3883.

However, the odds of the seat cover matching is pretty slim. Most covers tend to fade as they age, the new cover will be.... well new....

That's cool. I figured he'd have to buy a set or find an upholsterer to fix his. This is why i have always liked dealing with you guys.
