Default A fun fathers day weekend!

Went to the local Chevy dealer's annual car show yesterday with my two oldest daughters. I drove the vette, Allyson drove the javelin, and Lindsi drove the amx, a fun father and daughters activity for us and the first time we have ever done that together. I bought the amx just out of high school (77) and its been in the family every since. Lindsi drove it the last two years of high school (graduated in 01) and in 05 I tore it down some and repainted it, rewired it and redid the motor while it was out. When her and Allyson were both in high school we got the javelin and they helped me tear it down so we could rebuild it for Ally. We gutted it and I built a rotisserie for it and we sandblasted it inside and out, got the rusty panels replaced and took it over to a friend to paint. It took a long time to get it back from the body shop and Ally ended up buying something else for a car. I got it back from the body three years later and spent the winter putting it back together and actually had it drivable in 3 months but didnt get a chance to finish it before all the economy crap hit in 08 and its been sitting since (working three jobs sucks). The girls have been saying we needed to finish it so somebody could start using it so a week ago we started working on it and got it finished up enough to drive to the car show yesterday. We had a blast! Its fun driving in a convoy with your kids in "their" cars. Anyway, it was a good fathers day weekend for me. Out of 160 plus cars, they were the only two amc's there. I dont know how to post a pic so here is a link to the pic.
