Next time use brake parts cleaner.
Cleans and disinfects.

You might be a gear head if you have a 2' piece of steel pipe, stuck on one of your ratchet handles.

You might be one if that 2" pipe came off and bent a 3/4 inch breaker bar, you definitely are one when that piece of pipe was your floor jack handle, and it bent too!!!

If you've ever chosen an apartment because it was within walking distance of an auto parts store.

If your front license plate reads...

"My wife said if I bought another car she'd leave me - I'll sure miss her!"

...you might be a gearhead!

I knew a guy who had this plate, displayed in his basement with 10,000 HotWheels (yes, he was divorced!)

If you have ever told your son who is dying to watch cartoons--
"Hold on buddy, I just want to see how much this 1953 Corvette goes for at Barrett Jackson"
And said auction is on DVR and could be watched in an hour after he goes to sleep!

My buddy went to Jack in the Box last weekend to get food while we were turning wrenches. He brought back the order numbers because one was order# 426 and the other was 427. We both laughed. Only gear heads.

You occasonly have to find a woodworking project or two to do around the house just so you can save up enough sawdust to keep up with the oil spots on the garage floor.....ya might be a gearhead

Guilty!

If it no longer bothers you to use the shirt you are wearing to check the oil in your car, ...you might be a gearhead.

Actually, when I was fiberglassing i used a type of play doh to make a mold, but the doh was kind of hard when cold...put in the in the microwave....hm shouldn't have done that

If you buy a gauge set, mount the guages in the dash and use the chrome frame for picture frames of you and your buddies !

When you use WD-40 as a hand cleaner and love the way they smell afterwards.
