awesome!
i recognized all but the red and white sharks painted for racing. Are those actual racing vettes form the 70s?
The red and white Owens-Corning car was driven by Tony DeLorenzo, and up untill the C5R program began it's domination, I believe it was considered the winningest racing Corvette ever. I'll post more later, lunch time at work comes to and end. Back to it!
Pretty cool to see the MantaRay(formally the MakoShark) in person...that's something I'll have to do oneday
...esp along with those other cars all in one place
Sitting in my garage right now(on new iPhone) and was just looking back and forth between the wheels of the Aerovette and the YJ8 set I put on my '74....never noticed the different 8 slot(holes) vs 10 on that car...anyone know if those are "one-offs", the width/diameter sizes, or any story on those wheels at all?(seems strange as I thought the original four sets of YJ8 alum wheels done in 1974 looked just the same as the production ones...were those the "concept" ones ?)

Aerovette is one car I think would have been really successful. Imagine how it would have changed the trajectory of the corvette had they produced it. Would LOVE to see it in person like that.

All cars at this event have racing heritage, except the prototypes. Corvette was the featured marque in "02, kind of kicking off the 50th anniversary year, that's why they were all in one place at one time. Most awsome time I ever had. Some others posted that they had been there that year. How 'bout some stories/observations/viewpoints, guys?
CAN I GET A WITNESS!!!!
Here's a link to a pretty good arcticle about the red and white L88.
