6'4, 36" inseam and have non-tilt steering column in a 1972 coupe. After a week or two you'll develop your own means of sliding in behind the wheel partially seated rather than just stepping in - at least I had to!
Also learned to step out wider than I normally would think with sidepipes

Default room?

Try to find one with a tilt/tele column. Helps with getting in and out.

I'm 6'2", 200 lbs. I really, really wanted a 69-71 vette until I climbed in and out and sat in one. Without a tilt column I find them difficult to get in and out of and it seemed like the seat just didn't go back far enough to be comfortable. I was at a classic car reseller that had a lot of corvette's so I got to try on most of the years of the c-3's for size. I found that the 78 and up just seem to have a little more room for me. I knew that after the "new" left I would not be happy. I settled on a 1982 collectors edition and love it!

It's not that hard to install a tilt/tele column, save the original if you're concerned with originality. That's what I did with mine. The ability to set the height of the wheel and the position fore/aft works out nicely, set it to where you're comfortable.

when i was much younger (like in my early to later 20's many years ago) i was in to building MGBs. loads of fun, very basic automobiles. you certainly knew you had been riding in one after a while, but nobody cared at the time. all my friends had triumph TR3 or 4s, healey 3000 mark I and mark IIs, etc. the B models were pretty "sophisticated" with their roll up windows and available electronic overdrive manual transmissions compared to the A models and all the T models that went before. it's amazing what youth allows you to overcome, lol. for what is is worth at the time i owned it (back when it was just a current car), the 69 350/350 4 speed convertible vette i owned was pretty "raw" at the time also. no power windows or brakes, no a/c, lol. when you nailed it to go WOT you felt every rivet in the seat shell stabbing you in the back, lol!!

Default C3 legs

Thanks for all the help on this.....great feedback!
One problem though....The owner has decided to keep his '69!
I will find another....might take a while but I will get a C3 4SP car! I really like those '69/70 350hp cars.

Default Legroom

[QUOTE=ROCKFISH_1;1577953982]Really want to get a C3 ( 69-70) with a 4 speed ....will I have a problem with not enough leg room?

i have a 2011 and am 5’10.

Terribly uncomfy as I drove a mustang and Charger before.

Just 2-3 inches to overall car length would have solved this prob. This is why chevy is not in same league with Jag, BMW, Lexus and the like

You are off to a bad start.
First, you responded to a thread that's nine yrs old.
This is your first post and you already are bashing the Vette?
And this section is for C3s.
If you would rather have foreign crap, then why didn't you buy it instead of 2011 Vette?
Vettes are in a league of their own due to a reasonable buying price, reasonable repair costs and easy to find parts.
Ask the owners of the European models how they like the repair cost.
