Corvette Black Book says 992 = Corvette Bronze, some 3,374 produced. I have never seen one. Sounds like an interesting color.

Really is a great color especially when it has the tobacco interior...

Default Thanks Guys

Thanks for the help guys. I saved that color page top favorites so maybe I will not have to ask again. This forum is always helpful.

As far as the color, I actually kind of like it. Not sure if I'll be able to get the car though, my bid was below reserve. I am currently debating whether to raise my bid. The car is a non-numbers matching 4 speed convertible which needs restoring, although it is not a basket case. (it runs and drives)

I am debating whether to raise my bid...

I can see at least 10-15 K that I would need to spend on it to make it the way I want it. If it had matching numbers, it would be an easier decision. Oh well, I guess I'll sleep on it.

There is a Bronze/Tobacco 427 vert on ebay right now that is just stunning.

I sent you a PM on this as well.
Always a tough decision but one that we make and then we live with afterwards. My 71 Coupe was a vision of buy it and spend $15K to make it ready to show. I got it home and it was suggested I part it out due to the rust. Final bill to bring it back is well over $25K. Only you can decide what will make you happy. Often repeated here on the forum but worth stating again is don't buy it if you or someone you trust hasn't inspected it first. Trust me on this one, I was duped, never again. And the color is unique and would love to see it in person some day, until then good luck on your decision.

Thanks David, and all. I have decided to pass on this one and keep looking. There are just too many unknowns.
