Default Engie paint color

My chevy 400 small block is painted black. Is this a good color for this engine and dissipating of heat from the heat block. The engine comes with this color. What is the best paint color for this engine and that can dissipate the enging block heat better. Thanks and god bless.

This engine is in a 82 corvette

Engine paint color is of unmeasureable consequence with reference to heat dissipation. It would be akin to determining what color nail polish keeps the hands cooler. Paint it your favourite color.

I always paint my engine blocks black, Why ? Because of heat, they cool quicker!

False, colour of paint has no relationship with heat radiation.

But you have to admit Mike that the hotter the engine color the cooler it looks.
