How much is a built 700R4 worth?
Been thinking about doing a 700R4->T5 swap in my '79. I'll probably sell my 700r4 to pay for some of the swap parts.
The transmission specs:
2800 stall converter
shift kit
500 boost valve
BEAST sun shell
corvette servo
z pack clutch set
hydraulic T/C lockup
The transmission has about 10k miles on it since total rebuild. I just have no idea what it would be worth if I tried to sell it. Any opinions?

You think I should put an ad up with it still in the car so they could come ride in it? I would think people would want it removed and ready to go.

Same with engines. Unless buying a block to rebuild, I want to hear the engine running. Likewise, I want to feel the transmission shift smoothly. Nothing worse than spending $$ and/or your time installing crappy parts.

It's a pain to buy something and have to wait for it to be removed but a transmission pulled from a car for sale is really not much more than a core unless you can warranty it or prove that it is operating properly.
