I decided to sell my 4th gen Trans Am and buy my brothers C3 roller. The car is a frame up restored '78. (completed about 8 years ago) He sold the motor and was in the process of putting a new one in and we spoke and I bought the roller.
My Tans Am was a 9sec N/A "street car" Lol
For this build I want to make it a NICE 10.0 index car but capable of running 9's and be VERY streetable.
I bought a crate 406-10.5cr solid roller, nitrous prepped sbc. Motor made 531hp on pump gas and will see 200-250 worth of direct port nitrous.
For the trans I have a Trans Specialties th400 and 8" converter.
For the rear I will be doing the Autofab 4 link with a posi and it will have very little gear, I'm thinking 3:08.
Here are some pics.
stock replacement fuel tank set up to run Weldon fuel pump and regulator
Using stock sending unit and Jaz rollover vent
motor pics
home-made bracket for filter pump and reg
thats it for now.........thx for looking
I got the tank installed today. I went with -12 fittings just to have an excess of fuel volume in the lines before the pump since I do not have a true sump. I figure I will have to race with a minimum of 1/3rd tank
.
Very nice neat work. It looks like the car has lots of upgrades (rack and pinion-spreader bar-VB&P suspension-hydro boost). It should be a handfull with all that power. Have fun. Be carefull. Welcome to the forum.

Love that EB. Great color and it looks killer on the C3 body style. That is going to be a nice looking car when you get it all together. Keep the pics coming.
I notice that you are using 6 ton stands to keep it up. I just bought a set of those also and I am wondering how you got the car up high enough to get them extended that far? I have an XL35 jack that goes up something like 24". but can't find a good jacking point to get it up that high on stands. my sidepipes are causing some interference on the side though. Sorry for the hijack, just curious how you are approaching this.
awesome ride! i've always liked electron blue too.
Thx guys.
To answer your question Dan:
I put a block of wood under the center of the leaf spring and jacked it up.
I raised the rear first, then I removed the bottom front fascia so I could slide the jack under there and raised the front. U wont have to worry about the side pipes if u do it that way.
