Hey Mike
My 71 had a 74 interior and gauges when I got it. I have replaced most everything with the correct year. My doors have the power window motors and window regulators however that does do not mean that it came that way from the factory. It does not have a P/W harness other than the two wires and fuse I found in a box of parts. I know about where it suppose to mount on the firewall but see no provisions for it. Making me wonder if the car came with P/W or the PO was in the process of installing them.

Could be difficult to know for certain. My advice would be to order a correct PW harness and not take chances with what may have been cobbled together. Since PW was an option, the AIM will show the factory set up and list the parts you will need.
Unless I miss my guess, the actual installation didn't change too much from model year to model year.
Thanks Mike
I was planning on buying the complete P/W harness from one of the vendors. It looks like a pretty easy install, As far as the circuit breaker goes it looks like it will be a simple install. Looking at the AIM it looks like it’s on the firewall but I have seen some photos (not very clear) where it looks to be mounted on the side of the firewall where the master cylinder /power brake booster mount to.
Scott.

This one is. On my '68, it on the actual firewall. Specific location may have varied by model year to a point. Unless I miss my guess, a standard location was eventually determined and they were all likely to have been the same after that.
Hey Mike
That is where I have seen it in other photos as well, I have also seen it sideways where the emission stuff (they look like relays)are on the firewall.
Thanks for the photo.
Scott
After I installed my circuit breaker on the firewall area, I thought - gee - that is hot power that is exposed... is there supposed to be a cover on it? If so - have you seene where to purchase?
Also - when I got my Vintage Air system, it had a similar breaker - but it had a rubber cover cap. Will advise if I find anything
