I powder coated my lug nuts on my 81. I had previously made up a small holder for bolts to be powder coated. It is just a 1/8" piece of flat steel with 4 adjustable legs. The flat piece of steel had a few different size holes drilled through it to hold the shaft of bolts so that I can powder coat the bolt heads. OK, so I wanted to powder coat my lug nuts and I wanted to protect the top of my steel plate from so much powder coating build-up. I put a piece of aluminum foil ( heavy duty) on the top of the plate to protect it. When I was all done powder coating the lugs I removed the tin foil and found that it now had a coating on it from the over spray. i was able to bend the tin foil to conform to any shape ( like around some of the wires) and it looked real good. You have to be careful to keep the foil flat when you coat it but it looks real cool when done.
