Having spent the last 16 days with my Mom in the CCU at the local hospital, taking midnight drives in my C3 and posting on this forum have been a great stress relief for me. Today she was moved to a regular room and we are hoping for her release soon! Thanks to all for your patience with the newbie.

Mick, I understand just what you’re talking about. Two years ago my youngest son became critically ill and was in three different hospitals in a four week period. Each one further from home. The last hospital was 150 miles from home. My wife stayed with our son in the hospital and I had to stay at home with our other son because of school. When I was not traveling to see my son in the hospital I would work on my car to keep my mind off of things. I am glad to hear that your mother is doing better.
glad to hear your mom is improving. No excuse not to keep taking the Vette out though. I wholeheartedly agree on the Corvette therapy idea too, I take mine out too when I just want ot get my mind off of what ever may be bugging me. Threre's not much a healthy engine singing at 6K rpm though headers and flowmasters can't cure!
Enjoy each moment with your mom and be thankful you have the vette for diversion. I sometimes drive mine now that it's so hot out early in the morning and it just makes me feel great.
Glad to hear your Mom is doing better. I know that when I had radiation last spring it was made bearable by being able to drive my Corvette to the sessions.
