My new license plate
Just bought it on ebay moments ago, so don't have it yet. Should look good on my 68 here in NC!
It will be hard to give this one up... but it's the wrong state and the wrong year.

Nice - can you get it authenticated and register it?

Don't need to do anything except put it on my car and keep my "real" plate in the car with me. NC has a very reasonable law for year of manufacture plates.

That is awesome. I had to send mine to Tallahassee and go through a process. Might make it a bit tempting to try to out run smokey with non identifiable plate on the outside

Very nice. I snatched one up as well, and thanks for the snippet from the code.

Very nice. You could sell your CEX plate if you wanted, or put it on your wall for fun.
I'm in Winston Salem. We should get all the North Carolina Forum members together some time.

Do they allow 00-000000 style plates?
Her in IN, they call that a sample plate, and they are not legal for YOM.
Only good for a wall hanger here.

It is a "sample" plate. I have seen them on other cars. Guess I will find out if they don't allow them here....

Y ear
O f
M anufacture plates are not legal in all states. Check with your state to see if they have a "YOM" statute.
I know here in IN, for instance, you have to get the car registered as an "antique vehicle" which includes a state police inspection. The BMV then issues an antique license plate, for a fee, and for an additional fee, they then allow you to use a YOM plate once "approved" by them.
Don't just figure you can slap the plate on and all is cool.
This link has a state by state listing toward the bottom with a lot of good info.
