Ok , I'm mad at me. I was cleaning my T-TOPs this weekend before a car show, well one slipped out of my hands and landed on the other "I had them on the work bench" I've had these things 14yrs now I have 2 broken T-TOPS , the corner of the one I was cleaning just touched the other enough to crack it . Man I'm P-----ed .
Yes can ruin your day! Better than have my middle son call and say " you remember those t-tops (mirror set)sitting on the hoist well one broke" My buddy was at our shop shortly after it happened and he said that he thought my son was going to puke and cry at same time. Well we had set them on the hoist to take the cars out for a show and parade and while gone he just whipped his car in to set it on the hoist, and DROVE right on the passenger side one man did it BLOW apart still have a good frame. Now will sell the frames and get the fiberglass ones to match the 71'

Man I can't believe this happened , I'm so carefull with them, I could not even come up with any swear words that would cover that, I'm still so mad at myself. I guess it feels good to vent, I do have a set of fiberglass ones but there not has nice has the glass ones.Ron
Where can you get new ones of these,I'm all ears
I feel your pain.... I have the LOF Mirrored roofs and one cracked at Wasaga many years back. It's difficult to find them up here in Canada, and I wasn't thrilled about having some shipped up from the US.
Anyway, I found one at T.M. Custom Auto Trim and Glass. They are in Weston, so it's a bit away from you, but worth a shot.
Thanks Steve , I'm coming to Wasaga beach later on to the corvette show , maybe we can meet I'll be taking my 04 cause of the long drive. Thanks for the info. I'll call and see.Ron
I have a set of OEM mirrored glass T-roof panels from my 1980 that I use to own. The driver side glass is cracked but the frame and hardware are good. The passenger side is mint. These came off a 20,000 mile '80 Vette. Also have both factory OEM black covers. Let me know if you are interested. I had these in storage since 1992. I can provide the codes and dates off the glass if required. Detailed photos also. I am just at the summer cottage but will be back at home on August 9. Located in Regina, Sask - not too far from you.
Thanks guys , beers all around , not sure what I want I have the rare m1131, blue ones. I'm going to Carlisle and may swing in a few places that you guys mentioned ,I have a set of fiberglass ones for now . I'll keep this in mind.
When I bought my car, the seller and I could not reach a good price. He finally took 500 dollars off the asking price but KEPT the factory tinted t-tops. I figured how expensive can they be? I see tops for my 3rd Gen Camaro all over for less than 200 bucks....
Boy was I wrong....Ive been tempted to call the guy back for the tops but now its a matter of principle.....
