I would tell you to enjoy what you have and built. Some people say that the grass is always greener on the other side, but I tend to not worry about the other side myself. If you really wanted a different corvette, but with a big block, change out the front suspension and drop in a big block. Basically what I am saying here is that you know your car already, do you want to start all over trying to fix someone elses issues?
I have a 1972 Bryar Blue 350 Coupe. I really, really like it ... I think it is great car and it is pretty much the way I want it.
But .... now that it has become a nice driving car, my eye is now wandering to the next C3 project .... perhaps a vert, a big block, an LT-1 ....
Does anyone else go through this? - what did you do ?
Let me first say I think you are in an enviable position - I am on my second 'Vette, and have never had the time or money to get one "pretty much the way I want it." I'll get there some day, but good for you that you are there now! Regarding the wandering eye, I would ask you where your real passion lies - is it in having and driving a nice 'Vette, or are you a DIY type (like myself) who enjoys the restoration/modification process, and the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands? If you're the latter, you will need another project. Maybe a '72 vert to match your coupe?
I am sorta shopping for a C3 now. If you have ANY thoughts of selling that sweet car, let me know! We already talked at automotorplex. Love your car.
Thanks for the compliment! - I really enjoyed the restoration process with this car - and now that it is nearly fully restored, I am now flirting with the idea of doing another one. But my wife will only let me have one car at a time !
Perhaps we can chat about it next spring - as I am in no rush to do anything now - as I am still trying to wrap my arms around the notion of moving onto a new C3 project to work on - or just locking in on this nice car and just enjoying the ride ....

Don't toy with me young man!
I will be hoping!
Just keep me in mind if you do decide to sell.
Hey...you want another car....you can afford another car....get another car.
life is too short. assuming it won't put you in the poor house (literally) and it is something that you can afford to put together and enjoy also, go for it!
