Shop Manual???
Anyone have a suggestion for a good shop manual for a 78. I had a Chilton’s in the past for another car and it was rarely helpful.

GM Shop manual ("Chassis Service Manual"), overhaul manual, and AIM. If possible get loose-leaf 3-hole punched and put them in 3-ring binders so they will lay flat. They'll last longer that way too IMHO. I think Corvette America sells them that way (?). Been a few years

I have the 78 Chevrolet Chassis manual.
If you are going to fight a tach problem, you should do a "search this forum" first to see if you can read about your specific problem or ask here if that fails. Tach problems always seem to be discussed. Willcox even made videos.

What kind of tach problem are you having? There is more info on my sight about tach repair than you will find in the shop manual.
