Stainless steal header/side pipes
Have been reading the thread on the header and side pipes.
Would like to get these for my 77.
Can anyone tell me what the approx. labor charge to install headers and side pipes?
Do you think I could trust the local muffler shop to install these.

Side pipes are neat, but noisy from my experience. I've owned some and liked them a lot, until I got tired of the noise and smell from the fumes right under the window. For an occasional driver it's no problem but I drove mine a bunch and it got a little old. The cost to have them installed is easily all over the board, from a couple of hundred bucks to several hundred. A competent muffler shop could do it easily and, if you don't want the old parts as they prefer to cut them off could easily do it in a day.
