Identify Monospring

I got this monospring as a spare part with my 1975 corvette. The guy said he took it out and put the steel leaf spring in. I am not sure of the vendor or wieght rating. Any thoughts on whether I should use it or throw it away?

Looks like TRW said to be made by Muskegon.
GM & many others like the composite springs. Less weight.

Muskegon makes these now, not TRW . I was at Woodward this week and Muskegan had a display at our hotel . I bought one for my 71 .

If you decide to use it, you may have to buy 10" bolts to get the proper height. I had a TRW spring that looks identical to what you have along with some 8" bolts, and there was seriously a 3-4" gap between the lip of the quarter and the tire. Having the car jacked up so high in the rear made the car handle horrible. The tires would break lose so easily whether you were going straight or cornering.. IMO, I would keep the stock spring until I was ready to buy a monospring from VBP.

BTW - Do you have the hardware for it to mount to the differential? As pictured, you cant mount that to your car..
