Default Headlight door won't close.

I just got my 1977 corvette back from the paint shop. I turned the lights on last night and the doors opened right up. When I turned them off they stayed up. They worked fine when I gave the vehicle to them but now they don't work. I'm tired of messing with these guys because I already had to take the car back twice for problems. Can anyone help me fifigure this out. I have good vacuum and all the hoses appear to be in good shape.

i know if you reach underneath and 'pull the elbow' mechanism, it should shut.

Did you check your over-ride switch? Did they remove the buckets for painting? Is the problem with both lights or just one? Have you check the connections to be sure everything is connected where it's supposed to be and not reversed?

You guys are a life saver. It must have been dried paint. I worked them back and forth several times and Shazam they work.

Thanks to both of you for the help.

Did they get stuck on the body just behind the buckets ? I hope not because that might have peeled paint.

I don't know exactly where. All the clearances look good, they open and close correctly now. Nothing touches, and they work smoothly. I'm pleased.
