Have been looking for a replacement fan shroud for my 1976. PO broke a motor mount and rocked the engine. Caused the fan to hit the shroud and cut a large chunk out of it. Mines an early '76 and all of the parts houses want like $1K for a replacement. Began following craigslist and the other day found a listing with a 76 shroud. Contacted the seller and picked it up today. Never installed shroud, got it for $25. ALso got complete ignition shields for the 76 too, another $25. Glad I kept a eye on the old craigslist.

good for you. it's always nice to hear a success story when looking for parts.
My dad has a 76 as well. His build date is right at the break point that determines either an early or late. What he has found is that his car has a mix of parts. He recently had to replace the radiator, support and all cusions. He had to send stuff back and forth a couple of times because he recieved the wrong stuff. Between returning parts and dealing with out of stock items as well as backordered items, his car was down for about 2 months.
You were extremely lucky to have found what you needed and for the right price!
