I was lucky. After studying diagrams and then reconnecting all my wiring (compressor clutch wires not connected correctly), my AC worked, had pressure, and cool air. Looking at a label, the AC was upgraded to R-134. Then I recharged using EZ Chill
and now my AC is ice cold. The EZ Chill comes with a connector and pressure gauge so refilling was easy. Turn engine on, turn AC to maximum, connect R134, press the trigger, and done. The bottle gives you a chart on the pressure based on the ambient temperature. Many YouTube videos if you need pictures.
Driving is now much more comfortable. I'm glad I tried to fix my AC instead of installing an aftermarket kit (which I priced and investigated).
Do you have the original A/C Condensor in front of the radiator? Or did you upgrade to the one needed for R-134. I'm asking because I have R-134 but it is not ICE cold, just cold. I have been told I need to upgrade the condensor to a "parallel" condensor. Due to the fact that the R-134 gets hotter and needs better air flow/ cooling requirment.
