Default Help need after auto x

Went auto crossing tonight but had to stop after 2 laps
First there was transmission oil leaking on the headers and smoke was getting into the cabin.... I added oil last week, is it possible that there is too much oil?
Also for the short times that I did drive my Vette, it was all over the place. When I pulled into the pits I noticed that all 4 wheels had some play when pulled from the top. The bolts where checked and they checked out. The front wheels had play when pulled from the top but also wiggled side to side
So I will have the trans,. Checked tomorrow but what do you guys think is wrong with the suspension?

Wheel bearings, tie rods, bushings and everything else in the suspension. Go through it all. AutoX puts a lot of stress on the components that don't get a lot when street driving. Make sure everything is in good shape.

Yep, sounds like time to tear into it.

While you're at it, you'll be wanting to reduce/eliminate compliance relative to stock wherever possible if the AX (or RR) bug has bitten you very hard. So give some thought to how far you might want to take things before choosing replacement bushings, components and such. In any event, insist on Moog ball-joints, tie-rod ends...

BTW, a proper gearbox wouldn't puke on your headers. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I already have a complete VB front suspension with the composite leaf front and back and Bleistein shocks. I think it is more in the ends that there is loosens . As for the transmission you need to deal with what the car was born with......for now
I will keep you posted when I put it on the jacks.
Does the 700 R have an overflow valve?

So here is un update...the 4ball joints have to replaced. I will wait a few days and do it at the same time that I install my VB Rack and Pinion. I thinks that I will buy Moog ball joints, what do you guys think?
As for the transmission leak it turned out to be the pan and one of the cooler lines.
What a relief.

Can't go wrong with Moog ball joints.
