Most guys I know who own a Harley never ride them and they become garage queens. I think there is a bit of difference between a brand new Harley that sits in the garage vs a classic car. Myself, I plan to have both Vette and Harley (no Queens).
Having and riding a Harley, and having and driving a classic Vette are not mutually exclusive. I average about 10k miles a year on my HD and get the Vette out several times a week in the summer and a couple of times a month in the spring and fall. I wouldnt consider either of them garage queens.
I own a '10 Heritage Classic and a '80 Vette. Ride and drive both of them. The market is always controlled by the interest in the product regardless of the economy. There is always someone interested. If you are more interested in the Vette than the Harley and you are satisfied with the condition of the Vette..........do it. Don't worry about what others think.

Well... I found out the the car is not in drivable condition, there are problems with the brakes. It also sounds like there are a lot of issues that would cost $$$ just to get it in road worthy. Plus plenty of little issues that need to be addressed. I understand it is a 21 year old car, but.
For the price, there are cars in better condition out there. So I will keep looking and Keep riding the Harley. Thanks for all the comments

If it wasn't the right one I'm glad you walked away. It definitely sounds like you'd have gotten the short end of the stick on this one.
The Corvette and the deal you want are both out there, and particularly if you are a little flexible in the year you want. You'll find her - so don't worry! In the long run you are MUCH better off waiting until it is 'right'.
