Damn, I thought I was hott stuff for buying one and being pretty much 16 and you have 3? What years/conditions. Seems like a lot of NC kids have vettes .
Yea no kinding, I respect that you bought it with your own money there isn't alot of guys out there that it is truely their money. I did the same, working 7 days a week/ 60 hour weeks every summer to make the most money I could before school started. My 76 was the most expensive at $6500. Then my 68 project was $3500. And last of all my saving grace 75 parts car has by far paid it self off which I bought for $2500. This car has been the greatest because it coustatly funds the 68 and 76 restoration. After working constantly on my 76 to get it reliable, there was nothing like driving it to high school for the first time.
66...First vette driven was a new '59 in '59 at 17yrs old. That's when the vette bug bit me. Bought a '64 FI roadster in '82 for $7500 and sold it 4yrs later for not nearly enough...based on value today!!!
Now own an '80 4spd that have rebuilt to the same HP of the earlier '64 but with all power and A/C. I enjoy working on vettes as much as driving them.
Cheers,
There is always a younger group of people that want one. ( Or in my case an older person) I'm 52 but purchased my car from a 25 year old. Any Vette of any year could never be called an "Old Man's car" since the age range goes from 16 to 85.... having a car that you could enjoy, find for under 10k, for the most part cheap to fix and will hold or in fact increase in value is a rare brand of car.
