Default 327 crankshaft...save or scrap?

I've been cleaning out my garage and wanted to know if I should save/sell or scrap a crankshaft I have. It's a 327 large journal out of my old 69 Camaro. I know it was cut .010 from a previous rebuild when my friend owned it and then blew up. It's been sitting in the garage , on it's flywheel flange, for around 20 years. The journals look ok to the eye. Is it worth getting checked out at the machine shop? Does it have any value or just scrap?
Thanks,
Ray

It has value to someone.
Post it in the parts section, and you will find a taker there.

Personally I would keep it. Good stock 327 cranks are getting hard to locate. I like a built 327 better than a 350 any day. Is yours cast or forged?

The crank is cast and it's dated 6 68. I'm running out of room and since I haven't done anything with it all these years so I figure might as well get rid of it, one way or the other.
Any idea what a good price would be?

As mentioned, list it in the for sale section for maybe $50 bucks plus shipping. Since you know it's 0.10 under, good mentioning that. Probably snap some pic's of it.

I would think that in the grand scheme of life, a large journal 327 crank would be a rare beast indeed and should be worth some coin to the right person. Like small journal 327 cranks, wouldn't this also be forged?

I guarantee that someone, somewhere is looking for exactly what you have right there. Ya just have to find him.

Thanks guys. I cleaned the grease off of it and see I didn't do a very good job of preserving it. There are some light rust spots on the machined surfaces and 1 spot looks to have some pitting. I'll have to bring it to the machine shop and have them check it out. If it's good I'll put it in the "For sale" area.
