hey guys would it be possible for someone to shoot me a pic or 2 about this ball valve and how to install it or maybe even post it here for other newbie vetters like myself.....srrry i keep asking but just dont want to mess anything up that I would have to fix laterz.....
hey Paul I have seen 1 from a distance and I thought the valve was placed lower near the fender.......mine is a 79 not sure if that made a difference or not....but ty u sir for the pics

If you have the vacum shut off its mounted towards the rear of the right fender well. Some remove it if its not working and replace it with the ball valve. I just fixed my vacum shutoff and its working fine.

You can cut the heater hose anywhere you wish. Yes, the stock 1979 vacuum valve is near the fender and firewall, down below. (I drove a 1979 for many years.) But you asked about a ball valve which is fairly heavy and manually operated. I put it just above the A/C compressor for support and ease of access.
I flicked the lever open this last week. And got flow to the heater core. And yes the heater works.
Despite another recent thread on a similar subject, I have never experienced an over-heating problem with the use of a valve or a manifold to water pump bypass. I used the latter for several weeks when my heater core failed a couple of years ago and before I screwed up the courage to do that nasty job. That thread perplexed me??
