I have these Ansen Sprint Wheels that I use to have on my car. My wife is having a yard sale tomorrow and I am thinking about putting these in the sale. I spent time on one of them about a year ago and got it in pretty good condition. My question is, should I spend time on the others or sell them at a lower cost and let the buyer shine them up. What would you think they are worth in this condition and what worth if I shined them up. It took quite a while on the one that is done. There is no way I could have them done for the sale.
I also have a set of wheels off of my old 85. What do you think they would be worth?
I honestly don't think you'll get much for them at a yard sale. Ebay would be a much better choice. As for shining them up, you'll probably get more for them, but not enought to make it worth your time. Put them up as is. No idea what the '84 wheels are worth. /:\
Don't think you could give away the 85's...may get more for them at a scrap yard for the aluminum. But there are those purists that would want them on their car. I think you could ask $100 and see where it takes you.
As far as the ansen's, I have them on my '71 and I love them. Not sure on the value though...good luck!

Any chance you can post pictures, also do you know what the offset and backspace are?
Pictures from the side and from the rear if possible.
Hey Guys,
Thanks for all your replies! I have been tied up with the yard sale today, and I have a car show tomorrow, but I will get all the info for you and post it on Sunday. What a great group of guys on this forum!
I would love to see someone get these and get some good use out of them. Someone who would polish them up the way they should be.
Make me an offer!
God bless America on this and every day!
Messages sent, now I need to figure out if they will fit my '68 without any issues.
Did they fit in the wheel-wells of your vette or did they hang out some?
They will stick out about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch in the fronts. I have the same wheels and w/235/60 15 tires they just touch the front wheel wells. I'm also looking to get rid of mine.

My 8-1/2" ansens did not stick out in the front, but the 10" rear wheels did stick out about 1-1/4 inch. I had air shocks so the fender would not come down on the tire. It would be best to have flares.

I'd better pass on these, not wanting to put flares on the car. I do like those wheels though, good luck with the sale.
I had Ansen Sprints on my old Camaro man I love the way they look. After seeing the thread on the Baldwin Motion corvette I am surprised that someone has not jumped all over these.
I'm surprised it's taking a lot of time to clean them. I started using Mothers Alum Polish, and holy crap does that work fast. Give it a try.
I guess it is actually finding the time to work on them. I am in the process of residing my garage right now It is also how sore it made my fingers with all that rubbing. lol I did use some mothers on the one and you are right that it does work well!
I PM'd you on the Ansen wheels. I am interested in buying them as-is if you will let me know how much you want for them and what it would cost to ship them to Pflugerville TX 78660. Thank you!
