Muffler Orientation
Greeting Fellow C3'ers,
I have recently installed Hooker Sidemount headers and the following muffler inserts - HOK-21002HKR.
Is there a right / wrong orientation? To be more specific the insert has raised perforations leading to the expansion chamber, does it matter which way these raised perforations face toward or away from the exiting gases?

No answer here, however Summit racing came good with a reply as follows:
The raised perforations should face away from the exhaust flow. The exhaust gasses should flow up and over the perforations, not into the perforations.
Hope this is useful information for anybody else contemplating which way to mount the inserts.
