Default Windshield Post Trim 1980

I am failing miserably at locating the exterior trim piece that goes on the outside of the drivers windshield post for my 1980. I can locate the rubber moulding and the strip which holds it in place but not the trim from any of the parts houses. Does anyone have a lead on it? Perhaps I'm having difficulty because I don't know the precise name.

Reveal molding or outer molding.

FWIW: purchase the assembly instruction manual (AIM) for your 80. The AIM shows how the cars were assembled at St. Louis and lists original GM part names and part numbers.

Gotta agree with Easy Mike...The assembly manual is a MUST own ...

I also recommend getting Dr. Rebuilds Catalog... A lot of guys have issues with Dr Rebuild ..BUT as far as parts go he has just about everything,...both small and large

Plus the catalog has Zero clothing watches pins necklaces etc...just page after page of parts and diagrams which show you were something goes along with its name...and the pages are all newsprint type not glossy ones...

Great Book to keep in the bathroom as reading material ....(wife does not allow) that but I sure keep a Catalog in both of my garages of my garages for quick reference...

If its the Metal trim I know I purchased one side for my 72 or my 76 Years ago from somebody but I honestly can not remember ..that said I'm betting it was from Dr. Rebuild..

Thanks. I have the assembly manual with the exploded diagrams, I was just striking out on getting the part which is available at Dr Rebuild.
